Description
A tribute to my favorite Mid-Westerner Carl Sandburg, who wrote of the immortal Great Plains
“..I am here when the cities are gone.
I am here before the cities come.
I nourished the lonely men on horses.
I will keep the laughing men who ride iron.
I am dust of men…”
They say that a poet can see through the nine realms of existence to eternal truths that the rest of us cannot reach. When I read Sandburg I feel this truth to my bones.
